Yesterday I wrote about how
thankful I am for
home. Last night I turned mine into my personal home spa, so today I want to tell you that
I am thankful for
bubble baths!

After the dishes were done and the house was straightened up, I took a little well-deserved time for myself. I drew a lavish hot bubble bath, lit some candles and took hold of my tub pillow. It felt delightful sliding down into the sea of coconut-lime scented bubbles!
Almost instantly, as the warm bubbles surround me, I feel comforted and calmed. It is undoubtedly one of those "return to the womb" experiences which deeply communicates safety and serenity to my body and mind. Meditation in a hot bubble bath proves intensely relaxing!
It is funny to note that as a child I absolutely hated the thought of bathtime, or even having my hair washed! I don't know where the aversion to the bath originated, but I sure am glad I got over it! For someone who enjoys soaking in a bubble bath as much as I do, I certainly don't treat myself often enough to this soothing escape! This is the stuff that New Year's resolutions are made of...
I am thankful for my bubble bath for giving me a half hour in paradise right here at home!
