This site is dedicated to showcasing upside down cats, in addition to the many other aspects of my life.
There really are upside down cats here. Have a look around and you'll find them.

The reason for this post is recent anomalous statistics here at Upside Down CATS. Since last Wednesday, October 15th, my visitor count has been incredible! After considerable research as to why my number of visitors suddenly increased tenfold, my tenacious husband, Scott discovered the reason.
Was it because hundreds of savvy folks have finally recognized me for the insightful, clever and enjoyable writer I am?
No.
Was it because I've recently become a celebrity so everyone suddenly cares about what I have to say?
Uh, No.
Was it because the title of my blog promised provocative content?
Well, kind of.
It seems on that fateful date of October 15th a new site called Upside Down Dogs was born. They provide photos of, well, dogs...upside down.
Apparently many, many, many people made the leap that, if there was an Upside Down Dogs showing dogs of the upside down persuasion, there must be a similar site for their feline counterparts, and that site must be called Upside Down Cats.
For those who may have stumbled upon me in search of photos of upside down cats, I am happy to oblige.

Here's one of our very own Abbey to get you through the next few sentences... You're welcome. After all, I am Upside Down Cats. In fact, when my husband registered the name, it was because of the apparent affinity people (ourselves included) had for the sight of cats, lying upside down. But we never followed through with turning it into a gallery of upside down cat photos.
When I began blogging, we searched through the domains we already owned, and I chose Upside Down Cats for the title of my blog. I didn't choose it haphazardly or without careful consideration, however. Ever true to my personality, I gave it a philosophical bent. Read my post In Search Of My Own Upside Down-ness and you'll learn everything you'll need to know about this site and my take on the title.
So don't be disappointed about the cats...I have those too...

Here's Abbey again napping with our nephew, J.

This critter here is our Cooper getting a belly rub from Daddy Scott.
I like to think of my blog as a celebration of the total concept of Upside Down Cats. I hope I've convinced you to look around. If you love cats, believe me, you've come to the right place!
Enjoy:-)
