November.
Inconceivably, it’s November already.
Yes, November dawned today and with it...NaBloPoMo.
What’s that, you ask? Well, I’m mighty glad you did. NaBloPoMo stands for National Blog Posting Month. It’s a month-long writing challenge that some of us unbalanced bloggers impose upon ourselves each November - and guess what the calendar told me this morning? Time to fire up the ol’ blog.
In all honesty, I kind of love NaBloPoMo. I have participated since 2007 which is as long as I’ve had my blog. I’ve never known a November as a blogger without NaBloPoMo so it feels like a tradition - an old friend come to visit.
The idea of NaBloPoMo is simple: Write on your blog at least once EVERY DAY throughout the month of November. It is supposed to act as a kick in the... a motivational exercise for bloggers to keep writing and not lapse into complacency about updating our blogs. You know, the kind of complacent I have woefully become this year where my blog is concerned.
Although it’s not required that I blog on a theme, it is part of my creative process to choose one and write on that theme each day throughout the month. This NaBloPoMo, I am ripping my theme directly from the pages of my life: “What a Difference a Year Makes.”
I hope you’ll stay tuned for my NaBloPoMo adventure...
